Today in class


While I was in Dr. Preston’s class today learned a little bit more about young Goodman brown because when I read the story by myself it was a difficult to understand some of the words. When he read one of the paragraphs I at that moment realized that he had lost his faith and that it also had a double meaning he had lost his religious faith because everyone who where supposed to be role models tuned out to be evil. That is what I leaned today

Dynamic character       Guy montag he is the character that the story is about. He’s also the dynamic character that changes as the story is being told. Montag goes from hating books and burning them to reading them and wanting to put an end to to books being against the law. So in the following paragraphs I will explain why he is a dynamic character.      Now to start off why montag is a dynamic character. My first reason is because at the start of the book it’s him conducting the kerosene hose burning down the tatters and charcoal ruins of history. To be broken down, basically he was burning books and enjoying it. But as we keep on reading he seems to slowly be changing but one day when he is talking to Mildred saying he’s not happy and wants to do something big, so he goes up to the air conditioner pulls back the grille reaches far back . . .  and pulls out a book. On self reliance essay On self reliance by Emerson the total itself is explanatory, why you may ask, because by the title it self you know that Emerson is it encouraging people to NOT realy on others. Basically he is telling us you do your thing and don’t care about what others think about you, you do you and that’s what he’s saying in the following quote “what I must do is all that concerns me,not what the people think” The way his tone is set is so that he does not display any emotion all though he still cares because he want the reader to know that you don’t need others to tell you what to do because if you are told what to do all the time you won’t think for yourself and depend on others to think for you.
